Fatal Scandal by Marie Force - Review

Hello all,

We are enjoying this great series and it continues to grow with each book. I find the eight book a delight that I can't wait to share with you.

Fatal Scandal - Marie Force

Someone's keeping deadly secrets...
As a new year dawns in the capital city, dual scandals rock the Metropolitan Police Department--and Lieutenant Sam Holland is right in the middle of them. Her chief is catching heat for the way he handled a recent homicide investigation, and one of her detectives is accused of failing to disclose an earlier connection to the judge who decided his custody hearing.
When the custody fight turns deadly and her detective has a shaky alibi, Sam must defend two of her closest colleagues. All while her husband, Vice President Nick Cappuano, settles into his new office at the White House.
Nick begins to wonder if the president is using him for a political boost, and his worries mount over a complication in their adoption plans while Sam is being put through the wringer by the always-rabid DC press corps. As the evidence against her friend piles up, Sam suspects someone is gunning for her--and her team...

5/5 Review

From the start of this book, it has made me hold my breath as we get to see more of Shebly's relationship grow and almost die with Avery. Sam grows through a seriously rough time that leads to her having to face tough choices when it comes to her security and in relation to her husband's job and that is going to put more strain on them than before.

Scotty is going to get progress on his adoption with Nick and Sam's. Meeting his father will have a profound effect on him.  Freddie and Elin are going to be tested in this eight addition of the series. We see Gonzales and Christina put through the mill when he is suspected of killing his baby mama and more. There is just too much suspense to cover in this book.

Well worth being the eight book to the series and is already showing signs of what the end of the series has in store for all its devoted readers.

Fatal Jeopardy By Marie Force - Review

Hello All,

We are now getting to take a look at the seventh book in the Fatal series and I'm excited to be sharing these books with.

Fatal Jeopardy - Marie Force
The most personal case yet…
Washington, DC, police lieutenant Sam Holland and her husband, US senator Nick Cappuano, have been looking forward to a quiet Thanksgiving with their son. But any thoughts of a restful holiday are dashed when Sam and Nick return home to a gruesome scene: Sam's seventeen-year-old niece Brooke, barely conscious and covered in blood on their front stoop.
With lines between personal and professional blurring in this emotionally charged, deeply personal case, Sam is relying on Nick more than ever for support. But when suspicious images from the night in question appear on social media, Sam begins to wonder if her niece is telling her everything she knows about what really happened. And when Nick questions her tactics—and her ethics—as she races against the clock, Sam will need to decide how far she's willing to go to prove Brooke is a victim, not a murderer.

5/5 Reviews

Gut wrecking, heartbreaking, tears and good old fashioned 'oh my'.....

This is exactly what suspense novels should be and this book takes you through every character development that you needed to be. I wished I had seen more of Freddie's life with his partner. The others were well thought out and done. The trained writer in me could see the setup for the rest of the series coming through the book. It gets you excited about each one of the twists and turns of the storyline.

The book will hit home in ways I can't explain and could be described. It's going to make you shocked, leave you trembling and gasping. It will make your knees knock together as you enjoy the pleasure of the erotic moments.

I don't want to spoil things for you any more

than this is a must read for this genre.

Fatal Mistake- Marie Force - Review

Hello all,

I just wrapped up book 6 last night and starting in on book 7 of the Fatal series. It's been a great experience that has taken me out of my comfort zone. I'm delighted to share it with you.

Fatal Mistake- Marie Force

Book six of the Fatal series
A critical error.
A Cinderella season cut short.
A star player murdered.
D.C. is recovering from angry riots after one player's mistake blew the D.C. Federals' chance at the World Series, and Lt. Sam Holland is determined to unravel the twisted web of motives behind the star centre fielder's death. Was it a disgruntled fan, a spurned lover or a furious teammate?
While Sam digs through clues, her husband, U.S. Senator Nick Cappuano, fights for his political life in the final days of his reelection campaign as financial irregularities threaten his future. It's a distraction Nick can ill afford with Sam in the midst of another high-profile murder investigation and both of them trying to help their adopted son, Scotty, cope with the murder of a ball player he admired.
Determined to bring the killer to justice, Sam must root out the truth before another mistake proves fatal.
See how it all began for Sam and Nick in Fatal Affair.
5/5 Review

We move away from the politics in this episode of the Fatal series. We are now seeing the darker side of the baseball club in the heart of Washington DC. Sam gets to grips with being on her own with Scotty and Shelby where she encounters bullying for the first time. We witness the end of Stahl who has a twist to play in this great page turning book.
There is a great deal of character development, however, I was saddened to see Freddie being left behind. I wish I saw more of what his life is like. I was delighted to see how Gonzo was getting on with his life and the children that he has been fighting to keep. It was nice to see Jeannie making another step forward in her life after what she endured in earlier books. Agent Avery is still suffering and unable to move on. Its great to see Sam's father moving on into the next stage of his life.

Every book is offering so much for each reader that I can't say more positive things about it even if I'm biased and want to see how the other characters are getting on. I can't wait to experience the other books in this series and see where it takes us. Marie Force has created a memorable series that is for sure and one that might just wiggle into your heart for some years to come.

Fatal Deception- Marie Force- Review

Hello all,

Its my pleasure to bring you the fifth book review in the Fatal series. This is something of an impressive series but I will get to that at the review. I would recommend following Marie Force on twitter click HERE for that.

Fatal Deception- Marie Force

The wife of the White House deputy chief of staff has been beaten to death, and their one-year-old daughter is missing. D.C. Police Lieutenant Sam Holland is in charge of the murder investigation, but she's forced to collaborate with Special Victims Unit detectives as well as thorn-in-her-side FBI Special Agent Avery Hill. Then, a cold case of her father's resurrects old hurts--a distraction Sam cannot afford.

As Sam's investigation heats up, so does Nick's political career--and the heat carries over to their bedroom. Will Sam put the pieces together in time to catch a killer and find the baby, or will ambition, greed and lies prove fatal?

5/5 Star Book Review

This was such a well-structured series that moved along the characters in perfect timing with each other even though I would like to see more Freddie's struggles with his life. It was nice to see that things were resolved between Sam and her father in regards to the secret he has carried on his shoulders for so long. It's great to see Jeannie come out of her shell.

The case itself was great and to see how high she was able to take down criminals. I enjoyed the threat of having an FBI southern in there that offered a threat element to the relationship of Nick and Sam. There was linger tension as this one closes.

It's great to see that Scotty the small boy who Nick befriended is now going to live with them. The adoption is starting and it's a great warm feel to the end of the series. It's nice to see Nick win his senator seat and for the possible dangers of his political career keeping going forward.

I couldn't get enough of this book and I read it constantly. I can't give it enough love and so grateful that the series is continuing on. There is an enough love from Marie Force that shows the characters will continue on in a good strong direction. I look forward to the Jeannie wedding. I'm delighted to see that none of them is forgotten.

Fatal Flaw- Marie Force - Review

Hello,

So we are into the fourth book and this series just seems to rattle the readers as much as the characters. I will keep my thoughts until we get to the review of "Fatal Flaw" by Marie Force. I'm delighted that my book club wanted us to read a book from the series

Now onto what you came here for......

Fatal Flaw- By Marie Force

Back from their honeymoon, Senator Nick Cappuano and DC Police Lieutenant Sam Holland are ready for some normalcy after the whirlwind of their wedding, but someone has other plans for them. When Sam discovers wedding cards containing thinly veiled death threats, she's not sure if she or Nick is the target.
Already on edge, Sam and her team start investigating a series of baffling murders. The victims are well liked with no known enemies, and the murders are carried out in a clean and efficient manner. Unable to find a clear motive for the deaths, she feels as if she's chasing her tail.
With no obvious connection between the victims, Sam soon suspects that she may be the ultimate prize in the killer's clever game. When the danger starts to hit a little too close to home, she has two goals: find the elusive murderer and manage to live long enough to enjoy her happily-ever-after.

5/5- Review

This book brought itself into the 5 out of 5 stars as it was just as bone-rattling for the characters as well as the readers. I was delighted to see that Marie Force did what she could to keep up with Jeannie and not just with her but with Freddie. I do like the fact that she keeps up with them and because she introduces this slowly through her series it doesn't distract me as a reader of the series.

I do want to see Freddie grow more as the series goes ahead as I though that he didn't get to do as much as he had done in other novels. It was nice to learn more about Sam's father's past/relationships status. It's great to see more of her sisters even if it's in a way that we don't want to see them getting involved. Sam keeps going ahead and putting herself at risk, that does start to wear but Marie has a great talent from distracting you and allowing herself to walk away with a 5-star book.
I look forward to seeing what happens in book 5 and whether they can pull off another flawless book.
